Water Damage Client Information

Dear Client,

Thank you for your confidence inMIGHTY CLEAN.  We are genuinely sorry for your misfortune. We will do our utmost to complete our work carefully, quickly, and with as little inconvenience to you as is possible.

MIGHTY CLEAN has experience in water damage restoration and our technicians have been trained by nationally certified schools. However, we may still error on occasion. Please pardon us and inform us immediately should there be a problem, and we will act promptly to correct it. The following necessary things must take place to enable us to successfully complete restoration procedures.  This is the Basic Treatment Plan for most water damages.

1.       Paperwork Must Be Signed– This will facilitate both insurance and non-insurance work and authorizes us to begin work.

2.Partial Payment Requirement– This may be necessary to defray expenses that continue while we may wait months for insurance payment.

3.Extraction–Time spent extracting water which lessens drying time.  There is a minimum charge.

4.Anti-Microbial– Applied to prevent further damage from bacteria, mold and odor from these sources.

5.Installing Equipment– Covers time spent installing equipment, removing carpet-pad, removing doors, moving furniture, etc.

6.Dryers-Dehumidifiers–Equipment required to dry your home.  Sometimes in disaster situations, there may not be enough equipment for every job.  Don’t Worry—we will prepare everything for equipment and will install it as soon as any becomes available.  We try not to forget our equipment but sometimes we do.  Please call and let us know immediately so we can help others to dry their homes.  It will save you from having to pay for equipment you are not using.

7.       Continued Access Must Be Arranged– We must monitor equipment and moisture levels.  It is usually impossible to prearrange a time because we simply don’t know how long other restorations will require.  Additionally, others need our equipment and if it is not being used if we need to arrange to remove it and use it where it is needed.  (Place key with neighbor—hiding place—give us a key—call before coming, etc.)

8.Drying Complete– Some times reconstruction will be nesseary, and it is the next step.  Our expertise is in extraction and drying.  If baseboards, new carpet, padding, sheetrock, painting or other construction work is needed your insurance ajuster will adjust cost to cover the next expense.

9.Pad Cost– Dependent on market.  Please get quote from your preferred carpet supplier.

10.    Installation of Carpet– We do not reinstall carpets that are disengaged during the remediation process.  Please get quote from your preferred carpet supplier. We have a preferred list of contractors that help us often.

Tips to Help You Through Your Water Damage Incident

a.Please Do Not Unplug Equipment Unless Advised by Us– You will increase drying time and likelihood of mold growth.
b.Do Not Rearrange Drying Equipment Unless Advised by Us– The drying equipment is already placed to achieve the most effective drying.  Carpet and walls may “FEEL” dry, but not actually be dry.  Damage may continue.  Our technicians have specialized tools to know when correct drying levels are achieved.
c.Please Keep Your Home At Normal Temperature 68°- 70°F (20° - 21°C)-- Turning up temperature doesn’t speed up drying and can cause damage.
d.If Reflooding Occurs, Please Call– We will need to alter our treatment plan
e.We Strongly Urge Carpet Cleaning As The Final Step To Properly Finish The Carpet and Avoid Odor
